ML Engineer

About the Role

Ask and Pulse only work because the models behind them understand the data they are looking at, not just the words used to describe it. We are looking for an ML Engineer who wants to work on the models that translate plain language into precise queries, and the systems that learn what normal looks like for a business so they can catch what is not.

What You Will Work On

• Improve the schema-aware query translation models behind Ask

• Build and refine the adaptive baseline models that power Pulse anomaly detection

• Design evaluation frameworks that reflect real customer data, not just benchmark sets

• Work on entity resolution and relationship inference for Cortex, our knowledge graph

• Partner with backend engineers on low-latency model serving and inference infrastructure

• Investigate failure cases and build the systems that catch them before customers do

What We Are Looking For

• 4 or more years of experience building and shipping ML systems in production

• Strong fundamentals in NLP, information retrieval, or anomaly detection

• Experience working with noisy, heterogeneous, real-world data rather than clean benchmark datasets

• Comfort with the full lifecycle, from experimentation to production deployment to monitoring

• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with modern ML frameworks

• A bias toward simple, explainable models over unnecessary complexity

• Clear written communication for an async, remote team
